TRAVELS WITH MATTIE

This is going to be a quick one (sent from Black Velvet Coffee in Mammoth Village): HI EVERYONE!  We made it out of Santa Barbara, up the 395, and now we're finally up in the mountains! Sold our first painting right off the easel, and it's beautiful ALL THE TIME. We even saw a bald eagle at the lake. Here's a sneak preview of the trip so far: Current home. best buddies. Mattie is a scruffy-faced terrier mix who was rescued in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I am a recent Ph.D. graduate in Environmental Science from UC Santa Barbara. Together, we're two best friends planning to travel around the western U.S. this summer, with easel, tent, and dog treats in tow. We have no real agenda, other than to camp, hike and paint outside whenever possible. You can follow our adventures here - we'll try to update with paintings and pictures whenever we're on the grid.
