Last weekend, Greg, Mattie and I happily headed south on the 395 for a special wedding celebration for Nathan and Elin (Greg and I did NOT get married. I repeat. DID NOT GET MARRIED. The family rumor mill is in full effect). The wedding was in the evening up on June Mountain, just after a gorgeous series of summer storms rolled through in the afternoon and kindly cleared in time for our ride up to the venue on the chair lift. From the midway lodge we looked down on Gull and June Lakes, with Mono lurking in the background still under gray and yellow thunderheads. Perfect views all around, good company and old soccer-playing friends, beers, cupcakes, a great bluegrass band, and most importantly the celebration of a really wonderful couple alongside their friends and amazing family.
