6/16: TRAVELS WITH MATTIE SUMMER 2015!!!!

YOU GUYS, IT'S REALLY SUMMER!!!!

There's too much to do, so this post will be short. But here's how summer is going so far:

After a great weekend with Yeti and Dad, we left our little home last week and drove in late to the ranch.

Since being up here, we've been busy feeding carrots to the horses, climbing, swimming and walking through the river, watching Jurassic World at the drive-in, running in the morning before it's hot, looking at our buddy the Great Horned Owl in the barn without making eye contact because he's super intimidating, watching World Cup, eating AWESOME BBQ that Greg's been making for us, and spending some time with the Reno Crazies (Scott, Laura, Sid, Anni, Aidan and Emme). So it's basically the best. Here are some pictures about some of the greatness that is SUMMERTIME:

Greg got an AWESOME new BBQ and we had the best ribs ever made.

3 hours of smoking, 3 hours of q'ing. 

We wander to the Truckee River in the back yard and look for crawdads, creatures and fish. Or just space out. It's beautiful, even with low water.

Greg's sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Brian, came and visited for a couple of days and it was also awesome. Taco Bravos (it's a thing...), Bobbies from Capriotti's (it's the best sandwich in the whole world), swimming, climbing, HGTV, etc. etc. Mattie misses them and was really happy to make new friends.

Greg finally got rid of the dying Jeep and got a new amazing super adventure car! With AIR CONDITIONING! We're really moving up in the world. Here's a kind of sad picture of him with the car that we spent so much time roaming in over the past two years:

I'm not gonna say it was the best. But it got us places. Sometimes.

We went climbing up at the Grouse Slabs. Here are some terrible butt pictures, but we'll get better ones up soon!

SO BASICALLY IT'S JUST THE BEST EVER AND EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! Yes, it's a different kind of summer, but it's much easier on my favorite sweet puppy travel companion and we're both loving it so far. Also, I can take showers whenever I want. 

We're really living in luxury for Travels With Mattie Summer 2015.
